Gorbella’s
is a Tarrant County-based, parent-run, nonprofit corporation with a
goal of opening a kid-friendly community resource center to offer support,
education, connections, and play for families with young children.
The organization was launched in November 2006. Gorbella’s mission is
to help families with young children
overcome social isolation by providing support, education and resources,
promoting healthier lifestyles, and offering a
communal place for families to
gather, network, learn, grow, eat, and play.
To reach our goal of opening a community resource center for families
with young children, the organization hosts unique fundraisers that
are designed to encourage family participation,
such as playdates, rummage sales, letters from Santa, cookbooks sales,
and others. These events create and promote family-friendliness, raise
seed money for the organization to build the center, and
raise awareness for the
incredible need for family friendly
establishments and activities.
In addition to free play and fellowship, Gorbella’s will offer organized
family-friendly activities and events including interactive parent-child
yoga, sign language classes, storytellers and puppet shows, music lessons,
parenting seminars, safety workshops, and other services with the help
of our friends, local businesses and experts.
