Board of Directors

Eryn Hall, President

A former bookstore junkie and coffee shop connoisseur, Eryn Hall discovered her favorite places no longer felt welcoming once she had an infant in tow. Now a full-time, devoted mama to Haile Jo, Eryn is realizing there are few places where parents can hang out with other parents, their kids can play freely, learn, network, and enjoy a healthy snack, and everyone feels welcome. Everyone. Eryn is determined to provide that kind of place for all the families and young children the community. We’ll call that place Gorbella’s. Luckily, but not surprisingly, Eryn has found a wonderful group of parents that support this mission and will help make her dream of Gorbella's come true.

Cindy Nelson, Chief Volunteer Officer

Cindy Nelson, currently a SAHM to her spirited toddler Charley Bea, found the transition to full-time SAH mom from full-time RN a challenging one.  She quickly realized the importance of finding family friendly establishments and activities that were enriching to both parents and tot.  Getting on board with Gorbella’s is Cindy’s personal contribution to provide Arlington/Mansfield a facility for families to come together for support and FUN!

Cynthia Lopez, Chairperson

Hi, I'm Cynthia and I am my children's' mother.  I have two beautiful girls, Jessica (14) and Rebecca (7).  My father lovingly refers to them as "Lightening" and "Thunder."  You can see lightening coming and always hear the thunder roar.  I'm a Work from Home mother who is always on the go. With that in mind, it's imperative to have family friendly establishments that not only offer healthier food choices but also the accessibility of being yourself. Are you thinking, “What a concept!”? How awesome for any establishment to put "children" first and foremost!  Years ago, I envisioned a place where both parents and children can come together to visit, learn and grow together, Gorbella's is just that place.  I've been blessed to cross paths with great parents like Jeff & Eryn Hall who are dedicating their lives to making this once vision a reality.

Bianca Landis, Community Liaison

Bianca always wanted to do something that would make a difference in the community. She started a local resource website to help keep families updated on the local events and new happenings in the area, ArlingtonParent.com. That’s when Gorbella’s found her! Immediately after learning of the organization’s goals, Bianca knew she had to be a part of making sure it happens. As a single mom of four beautiful girls, she has always struggled with finding something that is adult and child friendly, as well as manageable and enjoyable for both child and parent. Bianca looks forward to meeting so many wonderful individuals and building relationships to last a lifetime as we strive to create a child-friendly environment for our children.

Casey Snyder, Event Coordinator & Photographer

I am a stay-at-home mom to my soon-to-be 1 year old daughter, Ellie Grace.  My husband Trent and I have traveled around the US with his job for the last three years. After learning we were expecting our first child we decided to make Arlington our home. Shortly after moving, I started looking for child friendly establishments that both Ellie and I could enjoy. The places I found mostly catered to the adult crowd or were places that may be "child friendly," but are really unhealthy fast food restaurants lacking the fellowship I was looking for.  Then I came across Gorbella’s and thought "what a great idea!"  I wanted to help the organization any way I could, so I volunteered my talent to photograph events.  I have always enjoyed photography. I also enjoy scrapbooking, crafts, reading, and most of all, spending time with my family.

Dena Hirsch, Advertising/Publications Coordinator

I formerly taught kindergarten for the past ten years both in public school and charter schools. Just last April I made the transition to SAHM. I am the proud mommy to a beautiful little girl, Sydney Kate. While as a teacher I stressed the importance of engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities both at school and home environment. I quickly found it challenging as a SAHM to provide those engaging and enriching activities for my daughter outside of the home. Then, I found Gorbella's! Thanks to Gorbella's I have a firm and supportive foundation to provide my little one with the social interactions that she needs as well as for myself. Gorbella's strives to provide an environment that is family friendly. I feel fortunate to be apart of such a valuable resource as a mother.
