Mission: Gorbella's mission is to create and promote family friendliness, with a long-term goal of establishing a community resource center to offer support, education, connections, and play for families with young children. Gorbella's Community Resource Center will be a communal, accessible, and comfortable place for families with young children to gather for education, support, resources, and activities. The organization will promote community inclusion, interaction, networks, and healthy lifestyles, in an effort to prevent families with young children from being subjected to social and community isolation.

Gorbella's Community Resource Center will be a place where infants and toddlers are welcome and encouraged to play. It’s a place for families. It’s a place where children can run around freely, safely, and use their outside voices inside. It’s a place for playgroups to meet. It’s a place for friendships to form. It’s a place for connections.

In the meantime, we create and promote family friendliness by hosting “FUN”draiser playdates specifically designed for infants, toddlers and preschool-age children and their parents. Gorbella's FUNdraiser playdates are held at various family-friendly establishments in the community who have partnered with us to support the organization's mission.

Gorbella's FUNdraiser playdates are superfun for families with young children, and include Mommy & Me Yoga, crafts, storytime, Mommy & Me Creative Movement, educational parenting “workshops,” baby sign language classes, toddler tumble lessons, cooking classes, special guests, and more.

All of our fundraising events are open to the public. We don’t charge a membership fee, we just ask for a “suggested donation” to help us reach our goal of opening Gorbella’s Community Resource Center.

Gorbella’s is owned, managed, operated and supported by members of the community. Mostly Proud Mamas and Papas. All proceeds from the center's cafe sales will sustain the organization and fund ongoing activities and programs.

• support, and educational programs for parents, families, and caregivers.
